Ogra increases LPG price as new year dawns

New rates see jump of Rs1.57 per kg, pushing the cost to Rs256.43 per kg

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) on Monday notified an increase in the rates of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).

The revised rates, effective from Jan 1, 2024, have shown a jump of Rs1.57 per kg, pushing the cost to Rs256.43 per kg.

The adjustment will affect the consumers who are already reeling under economic hardships.

With the increase in prices, the 11.8kg domestic cylinder price increases by Rs18.52 with its new price now Rs3,025. In December, the domestic cylinder of LPG would cost Rs3,007.

The notification has been released and the new prices have come into effect.
