ISLAMABAD (Web Desk/Dunya News) – Fawad Chaudhry, a former PTI leader who joined the newly-formed Istehkam-e-Pakistan (IPP) after the May 9 violence, was arrested Saturday in Islamabad, his wife said, adding that he had been shifted to some undisclosed location.

The former cabinet member, who remained a vocal advocate of the PTI chairman, is active on X, the social media platform previously known as Twitter, after leaving the former ruling party but hasn’t been actively involved in political activities.
Despite the IPP and the PML-N showing a soft approach towards each other, Fawad has been critical of three-time prime minister Nawaz Sharif and his family members.
