LAHORE ((Dunya News) – The Anti-Terrorism Court in Lahore on Wednesday extended the interim bails of former federal minister Asad Umar and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief’s two sisters till Oct 16 in the Jinnah House attack case.
During the case proceedings, the investigation officer apprised the court that the Joint Investigation Team had found these three accused guilty during the investigation of the case. The officer requested the physical custody of these accused citing it had also been detected that Aleema Khan was present on the spot.
The lawyer of the accused persons apprised the court that Aleema and Uzma were not named in the case and the statements be shown to them in which they had been declared guilty. To which the IO replied that all statements would be shown to the lawyer.
During proceedings, Aleema Khan reached the rostrum and requested for justice citing they were joining the proceedings daily. If justice can be ensured by sending them to jail, then do it, she added. Her lawyer stopped her from expressing her views. However, she replied, “What we are demanding, we are just requesting for justice.”
The court summoned the lawyers for final arguments and extended the interim bails till Oct 16.
