The PTI chairman also prayed that he may be granted interim bail till a decision on his plea
ISLAMABABD (Dunya News) – The chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday challenged the rejection of his bail pleas in toshakhana and 190 million pounds scandal by an accountability court in the Islamabad High Court.
The PTI chief submitted before the IHC that the accountability court had on Aug 10 dismissed his bail pleas in the two cases for not attending the proceedings. He prayed the court to declare the verdict of accountability court void.
The PTI chairman also prayed that he may be granted interim bail till a decision on his plea.
The PTI chief has made the chairman of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) party to the dispute.
It may be recalled that the PTI chief could not attend the proceedings of cases against him since his arrest in early August and the accountability court did not consider the fact while rejecting his plea in toshakhana and 190 million pounds scam.
