US, UK condemn Mastung terrorist attack

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Ambassadors of the United Kingdom and the United States of America condemned the terrorist attack in Mastung, Balochistan, where 47 people were killed in a suicide bombing.

US Ambassador to Pakistan Donald Blome in a social media post said, “The Pakistani people deserve to gather and celebrate their faith without the fear of terror attacks like the ones today in Balochistan and KP. Our hearts go out to the victims and their families. We will continue to stand with Pakistan in the face of these vicious attacks.”

Jane Marriot, British High Commissioner in Pakistan, wrote: “Devastated by today’s suicide attack and loss of precious lives in #Mastungblast, Balochistan. Violence has no place in our world. My heart goes out to the victims and their families during this incredibly difficult time”.

At least 47 people were killed and more than 60 people suffered multiple injuries following a 'powerful' suicide blast in Mastung district of Balochistan on Friday, the Mastung Deputy Commissioner told media.

The dead and the injured were initially shifted to the DHQ Hospital and other infirmaries. The incident took place at a bazaar near Madina Masjid on Al Falah Road. Rescue 1122 ambulances, police and Bomb Disposal Squad officials are at the crime scene.
