Kabir Khan shares connection with Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan

He actually met Shah Rukh more as Gauri's boyfriend.

MUMBAI (Web Desk) - Renowned filmmaker Kabir Khan recently revealed details of his friendship with superstar Shah Rukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan during an interview. The director shared that he knew the power couple from their Delhi days and elaborated on their connection.

Kabir explained that although Shah Rukh was his senior in Jamia, he didn't know him as such. He actually met Shah Rukh more as Gauri's boyfriend during a production of the musical West Side Story where they were both dancers. The director praised Gauri's dancing skills and revealed that they practiced for six months, during which Shah Rukh would often come to meet Gauri, allowing Kabir to get to know him better.

"At that point in time, he was in Jamia. I had not yet decided to join Jamia. Later, when I decided to join Jamia, he gave me his notes because he was a brilliant student. I studied a lot from his notes. They were very valuable notes. That's how I got to know Shah Rukh. The only person I knew when I landed in Bombay, I've often said I knew nobody in the film industry, needs a slight correction. The only person I knew was Shah Rukh Khan," Kabir further revealed.
