Punjab CTD arrests nine terror suspects

The officials said the CTD will continue to operate at all levels in the fight against terrorism.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Friday arrested nine alleged terrorists in several districts of Punjab.
CTD officials said nine terrorists of banned outfits were arrested during operations in Gujranwala, Rawalpindi and Sargodha. The terror suspects rounded up in operations have been identified as Nazir, Fahad, Arshad, Usman, Sher Mohammad, Tahir, Wazir and Abdul Rashid. One of them remained unidentified.
Officials said explosive material, weapons and suicide jacket-making equipment were recovered from the possession of the suspects, adding that 340 combing and search operations were conducted across the province this week and 41 suspects were detained.
The officials further said the CTD would continue to operate at all levels in the fight against terrorism.
