NA speaker wants political parties to discard politics of mockery

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervaiz Ashraf on Saturday urged political parties to shun politics of vengeance and join hands to rid the country of political and economic crises. 

Mr Ashraf, in a statement, said he was all for stability in the country as uncertainty hampered the efforts for pacing up the growth process. “Economic stability is linked to political stability,” he said, adding that undue criticism and mockery made the issues worse.

“We just hurl allegations without any evidence as cases were made against the slain Benazir Bhutto,” the NA speaker lamented. He said anyone could be defamed through the media but such practices should be discouraged. Mr Asharf said the country would not default and Pakistan would manage to survive every problematic situation.
