IHC orders to produce Shireen Mazari
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday ordered to produce Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shireen Mazari by 11:30 pm.
A petition filed by her daughter Imaan Mazari against the arrest of PTI leader Shireen Mazari was heard in the IHC.
IHC ordered Shireen Mazari to be produced by 11.30 pm. Besides, IG, Deputy Commissioner Islamabad and Home Secretary were also summoned.
It may be recalled that Shireen Mazari was arrested outside her residence in Islamabad on Saturday afternoon.
The court remarked that according to Imaan Mazari, her mother is still a member of the National Assembly. No MNA could be arrested without the permission of the Speaker of the National Assembly.
Apparently the PTI leader was detained illegally.
