Pakistan reports lowest coronavirus deaths in over a year

The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.60 percent.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 2 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 1,291,108. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 28,872 on Sunday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 260 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 13,058 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab, 7,649 in Sindh 5,907 in KP, 964 in Islamabad, 745 in Azad Kashmir, 363 in Balochistan, and 186 in GB.
Furthermore 479,090 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 444,164 in Punjab 180,976 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 108,259 in Islamabad, 34,640 in Azad Kashmir 33,551 in Balochistan and 10,428 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 22,821,495 coronavirus tests and 42,640 in the last 24 hours. 1,252,647 patients have recovered in the country whereas 666 patients are in critical condition.
Positivity Ratio
The COVID-19 positivity ratio was recorded at 0.60 percent.
Vaccine Statistics
So far, 87,534,489 people have received their first dose of coronavirus vaccine including 623,559 in last 24 hours. 60,043,930 citizens have been fully vaccinated while 739,710 received their second dose in last 24 hours.
The number of total administered doses has reached to 139662690 with 1,297,362 in the last 24 hours.
