Educational institutions reopen in Punjab, KP

Schools have resumed in person class with 50 percent attendance.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Educational activities have resumed in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) with 50 percent attendance and strict implementation of coronavirus related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Provincial schools and higher education department has issued a notification in this regard. Punjab government had made coronavirus vaccination compulsory for the teachers, administration and other staff members of all the public and private schools.
On the other hand, Pakistan has crossed grim milestone of 27,000 deaths from Covid-19. The number of positive cases has surged to 1,215,821.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 3,012 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 12,319 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 7,210 in Sindh 5,329 in KP, 893 in Islamabad, 727 in Azad Kashmir, 344 in Balochistan, and 182 in GB.
Furthermore 447,678 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 418,196 in Punjab 169,972 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 103,549 in Islamabad, 33,551 in Azad Kashmir, 32,671 in Balochistan and 10,204 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
