PDM banning women from attending rallies is pathetic, says Bakhtawar
KARACHI (Dunya News) – PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari and former premier Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s eldest daughter Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari said that the PDM banning women attending political rallies is pathetic.
The PPP leader took to twitter and said that 50 per cent of our population is women. “Social & political space shrinking - decisions like this reiterate a cultural mindset predating Islam,” she added.
Bakhtawar Bhutto mentioned that these decisions must be corrected because our religion gave women rights and will not have ignorance take them away.
