PDM leaders consider proposal for resignation ahead of Sunday's power show

KARACHI (Dunya News) – A meeting of the opposition alliance Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is underway in Karachi with chairman and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Moulana Fazlur Rehman in chair.
The leadership of the opposition alliance has reached Karachi and is scheduled to hold a rally against the government in Karachi on Sunday.
In this regard, a meeting of the PDM is currently underway under the chairmanship of Maulana Fazlur Rehman. Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Shahbaz Sharif, former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, PPP Sherpao chief Aftab Sherpao and other leaders are present during the meeting.

During the meeting, PDM chairman Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that a decisive movement should be launched against the government and again proposed resignations from the Parliament and a long march to Islamabad.
During the meeting, the workers of the PML-N tried to force their way into the hotel leading to a stampede and broke the door, after which the management kicked the workers out of the hotel.
Earlier, PML-N President Mian Shahbaz Sharif, who was present in Karachi, while replying to a journalist s question, said that the public gathering to held in Karachi will definitely succeed.
Responding to another question of the journalist about contacting Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP), the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly said, “We will do as you say.”
