Soldier martyred in cross-border attack from Afghanistan

Pakistan army responded in befitting manner and killed one terrorist while three other were injured.
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Pakistan army soldier was martyred when terrorists from inside Afghanistan across the International Border, opened fire on a military post in Lower Dir district, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement on Thursday.
The military’s media wing in its statement said that terrorists opened fire on a military post at the Pak-Afghan border in Lower Dir from across the border. Pakistan army troops responded in a befitting manner as a result one terrorist was killed and three were injured.
According to ISPR, 36-year-old Havaldar Gul Ameer, resident of Lakki Marwat, embraced martyrdom in firing by the terrorists.
It should be noted that several such incidents have taken place even before this in which Pakistani citizens and soldiers of the Pakistan Army have been targeted.
