President, interior minister strongly condemn Quetta blast
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – President Dr Arif Alvi Sunday strongly condemned Quetta blast and said that such nefarious activities could not shake Pakistan’s strong resolve against terrorism.
The president expressed his grief over the death of police jawans. He said the enemies of the country and humanity wanted to sabotage peace in Pakistan.
President Alvi said Pakistani nation had defeated the terrorism itself and Pakistan would not allow the despicable designs of terrorists to succeed.
Meanwhile, Minister for Interior Sheikh Rasheed strongly condemned the Sarena Chowk Quetta bomb blast, saying it would not shake the resolve of security forces to resolutely fight the menace of terrorism.
According to the spokesman of the Ministry, the minister has sought a report of the blast from the Balochistan government.
He expressed deep grief over the loss of precious lives of Police personnel in the incident. He extended his condolences to the families who lost their dear ones and prayed for the early recovery of the injured.
He said that full support will be provided to the Balochistan government for maintaining law and order.
He termed the blast by terrorists to target the police a cowardly act. He said the morals of security forces are high and they are determined to neutralize such nefarious designs at all costs.
“No one will be allowed to sabotage peace and prosperity of the country at any cost,” Sheikh Rasheed said.
On the other hand, Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry condemned the Quetta blast that claimed two lives and left a dozen injured.
In a statement, the minister sympathized with the families of the deceased police personnel and prayed early recovery of the injured.
He said terrorists wanted to worsen law and order situation in Balochistan and such cowardly act won’t dampen our spirits. Every attempt to harm the peace of the country, especially of Balochistan will fail.
The information minister said the nation stands by its security forces in the war against terrorism as they have rendered valuable sacrifices to restore law and order in country and their sacrifices would not go in vain.
