Unofficial ressults: PTI emerges winner in LA-16 Bagh

2,383 voters are using their right in four polling stations in the area.
MUZAFFARABAD (Dunya News) – Ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has won the LA-16 Bagh 3 seat of the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, whose results were withheld for re-polling on four polling stations following clashes.
According to unofficial results, PTI candidate Sardar Mir Akbar bagged 23,561 votes, whereas PPP s Sardar Qamaruz Zaman obtained 23,267 votes - a difference of a mere 294 votes.
Of the total 939 votes cast by government employees, PTI received 396, whereas PPP got 421. 2,383 voters have exercised their right in four polling stations in the area. Polling was halted at two polling stations in Bagh on July 25 after ballot papers were burnt. It is to be mentioned here that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) had emerged as single largest party in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections by grabbing 25 out of 45 seats in the polls as per unofficial and unannounced results. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) bagged 11 seats and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) secured 6 seats. Muslim Conference (MC) and Jammu Kashmir Peoples Party (JK PP) grabbed one seat each. The result of LA 16 – Bagh III constituency was not announced yet. There were 3,250,117 registered voters, including 1,468,317 female, in all 33 electoral constituencies of ten districts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
All 12 constituencies meant for Pakistan-based Jammu & Kashmir refugees, exercised their right of vote to elect the Azad Jammu Kashmir Legislative Assembly, for next five years constitutional term.
