PSL-6: Lahore Qalandars 27-2 after 5 overs

Lahore Qalands have decided to field against Multans Sultans.

ABU DHABI (Dunya News) – Lahore Qalandars are 27-2 at the end of 5 overs against Multan Sultans in the 28th match of sixth edition of Pakistan Super League (PSL) at Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Friday.

Playing first, Multan Sultans set 170 runs target for Lahore Qalandars. 

Multan Sultans have got a decent start against Lahore Qalandars as they look to seal a spot in the playoffs of the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2021).

Sohaib Maqsood in particular has smashed a fifty. Lahore Qalandars, on the other hand, have already strengthened their stronghold in the PSL 2021 as they are placed in a much better position to make it to the playoffs.

Earlier, Lahore Qalandars had won the toss and opted to field against Multan Sultans.

Mohammad Rizwan is leading Multan Sultan whereas Lahore Qalandars is being captained by Sohail Akhtar. 

Having won three matches consecutively, Multan Sultans are placed at number 4 in the PSL 2021 points table and have a fair shot at qualifying for the playoffs.

On the other hand, Lahore Qalandars have won five out of their nine matches and are placed at number 3 in the PSL 2021 points table. Lahore Qalandars reigned the top position for quite a while until they lost the momentum after losing their last three games against Islamabad United, Quetta Gladiators and the Karachi Kings.
