There is a need for international cooperation to eliminate corruption: NAB chief
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal on Friday has said that there is a need for international cooperation to eliminate the corruption. Virtually addressing the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session, the NAB chief said that corruption is inflicting loss of 1260 billion dollar annually to the developing countries as it breeds injustice and poverty. “NAB being the focal agency of Pakistan under the United Nations Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) is determined to weed out this scourge of corruption and to make Pakistan corruption-free by adopting accountability for all policy,” he added. Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal urged the international community to take stern steps to halt money transfers from the poor country.
