Sheikh Rashid, Kuwaiti counterpart hold security talks in Kuwait City
KUWAIT CITY (Dunya News) - Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed had a meeting with his Kuwaiti counterpart Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah along with a delegation in which talks regarding security and the promotion of bilateral relations took place.
The two countries agreed to enhance inter-ministerial relations to further boost ties. The Kuwaiti interior minister said that relations between the people of the two countries should also be enhanced.
In the meeting, Sheikh Rashid Ahmed thanked his counterpart for restoring Kuwaiti visas for Pakistani citizens.
Sheikh Rashid said that restoration of Kuwaiti visas for Pakistanis was a long standing issue. However, its restoration will further improve relations between Pakistan and Kuwait, as well as boost trade and tourism between the two countries.
He said that the family members who have been separated for ten years will now be able to meet each other. He also added that Pakistani workers are very hardworking and self-reliant and will contribute to the development of Kuwait.
