Firefighters fail to control fire in forest near Murree Expressway

The forest fires near Murree Expressway have consumed precious wood of the forest.

MURREE (Dunya News) - With fires raging across the forest near Murree Expressway, the firefighters are still finding it hard to control the blazes after more than 24 hours, reported Dunya News on Thursday.

According to details, the fire erupted in forests of Saidpur, Talhar Village and Pir Sohawa. A number of fire brigade vehicles, 200 firefighters and 6 water bowsers are busy in operation to bring the fire under control.

The forest fires near Murree Expressway have consumed precious wood of the forest. The CDA sources said that fires at two places of Margalla Hills National Park, Saidpur and Pir Sohawa have been brought under control.
