PML-N retains PP-84 seat with 73,081 votes

KHUSHAB (Dunya News) –Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has retained PP-84 seat after its candidate won the constituency with a significant margin.
According to unofficial results of 229 polling stations, PML-N’s candidate Moazzam Sher Kallu came on top with 73,081 votes, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) Ali Hussain Baloch came second place, with 62,903 votes.
Bilawal congratulates Shehbaz Sharif
Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday congratulated PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif on his party winning PP-84 Khushab by-election.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that consecutive wins of opposition parties in by-elections is a proof that masses have rejected Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and people, through votes are not passing their judgment against the incumbent government’s policies.
About the Constituency
The seat had fell vacant after the death of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) lawmaker Malik Muhammad Waris Kallo in March.
At least eight candidates were in the field and as per Election Commission, 229 polling stations were set up in the constituency for 292,687 registered voters.
At least 14 polling stations were declared sensitive and were monitored with the help of CCTV cameras while 2880 policemen and 600 Rangers performed security duties.
