Shehbaz advises Hamza to take matter of Jati Umra operation by govt to court
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Mian Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has advised opposition leader in the Punjab Assembly and his son Hamza Shahbaz to take the matter of a possible operation by the government in Jati Umra to court.
According to details, Hamza Shahbaz and his family met Shehbaz Sharif in Kot Lakhpat Jail in the provincial capital Lahore.
During the meeting, Hamza Shahbaz inquired about the well-being of his father and discussed the current political situation in the country, and the issue of Jati Umra land including possible operation by the government.
According to sources, Hamza Shahbaz also discussed the post-bail situation with his father.
Shehbaz Sharif while talking to Hamza suggested that the issue of Jati Umra should be resolved through the court, terming this act of the government as retaliatory action and said that the government wants to put pressure through such tactics.
He said that the land in Jati Umra was bought legally. There is no anomaly in it. We will fight against the government s political revenge adding that this was being done to divert attention from inflation.
After the meeting, Hamza Shahbaz left without speaking to the media. Shehbaz Sharif s lawyers were also present in the meeting.
