Toshakhana reference: Zardari, Gillani exempted from court appearance

AC Judge Asghar Ali conducted hearing on reference against Asif Ali Zardari and Yousaf Raza Gillani.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – An accountability court in Lahore has on Thursday allowed Asif Ali Zardari and Yousaf Raza Gillani, former president and prime minister respectively, exemption from personal appearance in the Toshakhana reference.
The court also exempted Abdul Ghani Majeed from appearance as AC Judge Asghar Ali conducted hearing on reference against Asif Ali Zardari and Yousaf Raza Gillani.
Judge Asghar Ali remarked that the court has been directed to halve the case hearings. Yousaf Raza Gillani’s counsel requested the court to complete cross-examining during the next hearing.
The accountability court adjourned the hearing till April 22.
