Pakistan reports 5,395 COVID-19 cases, highest in over 9 months

Pakistan has so far conducted 10,942,771 coronavirus tests
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan has reported 118 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 739,818. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 15,872 on Thursday.
According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) 5,395 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.
Province-wise Details
Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Till now 7,209 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,533 in Sindh, 2,761 in KP, 625 in Islamabad, 420 in Azad Kashmir, 221 in Balochistan, and 103 in GB.
Furthermore 270,310 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 258,441 in Punjab, 102,290 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 68,066 in Islamabad, 20,580 in Balochistan, 14,978 in Azad Kashmir and 5,153 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Tests and Recoveries
Pakistan has so far conducted 10,942,771 coronavirus tests and 64,685 in the last 24 hours. 646,652 coronavirus patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,276 patients are in critical condition.
