CM Punjab orders to fill vacant seats for minorities

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has ordered to fill immediately vacant seats reserved for minorities.

According to details, National Assembly member Dr Ramesh Kumar called on Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and apprised him of the orders of the Supreme Court.

The Chief Minister assured immediate implementation of the orders of the Supreme Court regarding minorities and sought details of vacant seats.

He directed the law department and the human rights department to submit a report to him within a week.

Usman Buzdar said that in line with the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan, minorities were being provided equal opportunities.

CM Punjab said that minority youth also have ample of opportunities in educational institutions. Funds have been allocated for minority communities in Punjab province. The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government believes in religious tolerance and equal rights, he added.
