Rupee falls by 11 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs153.66 rupees
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar rose by 11 paisa in the interbank on Monday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs153.66 rupees on first business day of the week compared to previous closing of 153.55.
However, since start of March, dollar has declined by 6.56 rupees or 4.17 percent. The greenback has lost 14.77 or 9.17 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro was depreciated by 33 paisa and closed at Rs180.53 against the last working day’s trading of Rs180.86, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.39, whereas an increase of 51 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs213.02 as compared to its last closing of Rs212.51.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 3 paisa each to close at Rs41.83 and Rs40.87 respectively.
