President urges to take steps against mismanagement of tax authorities to facilitate tax payers

The President stressed on improving liaison with FBR for prompt redressal of grievances
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – President Dr. Arif Alvi has stressed the need to further strengthen the office of Tax Ombudsman for the betterment of country s economy.
He was talking to Federal Tax Ombudsman Mushtaq Ahmed Sukhera who called on him in Islamabad today.
During the meeting, the Federal Tax Ombudsman presented the annual report for the year 2020 to the President.
The President said steps should be taken against mismanagement of tax authorities to provide timely and immediate relief to taxpayers.
The President stressed on improving liaison with FBR for prompt redressal of grievances against mismanagement of tax officials.
The President appreciated the role of the Federal Tax Ombudsman and assured his cooperation in performing his duties.
