Rupee gains 38 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs155.01 rupees

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar fell by 38 paisa in the interbank on Thursday against Pakistani rupee. The greenback closed at Rs155.01 rupees on third business day of the week compared to previous closing of 155.39.

Since February, dollar has declined by 5.21 rupees or 3.3 percent. The greenback has lost 13.42 or 8.29 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.

Meanwhile, the price of euro was depreciated by 82 paisa and closed at Rs182.99 against the last working day’s trading of Rs183.81, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.

The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.42, whereas a decrease of 95 paisa was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs212.10 as compared to its last closing of Rs213.05.

The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 10 paisa each to close at Rs42.30 and Rs41.33 respectively.
