Rupee gains 46 paisa against USD
The greenback closed at Rs155.39 rupees.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar fell by 46 paisa in the interbank on Wednesday against Pakistani rupee.
The greenback closed at Rs155.39 rupees on second business day of the week compared to previous closing of 155.85.
Since February, dollar has declined by 4.83 rupees or three percent. The greenback has lost 13.04 or 8 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro was depreciated by 1.7 rupees and closed at Rs183.81 against the last working day’s trading of Rs185.51, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.43, whereas a decrease of 3.08 rupees was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs213.05 as compared to its last closing of Rs216.13.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 13 paisa and 12 paisa each to close at Rs42.30 and Rs41.33 respectively.
