Rupee gains 12 paisa against USD

The greenback closed at Rs155.85 rupees
KARACHI (Dunya News) – The exchange rate of US Dollar fell by 12 paisa in the interbank on Monday against Pakistani rupee. The greenback closed at Rs155.85 rupees on first business day of the week.
Since February, dollar has declined by 4.37 rupees or 2.7 percent. The greenback lost 12.58 or 7.75 percent of its value from its peak of 168.43 in August 2020.
Meanwhile, the price of euro was depreciated by 37 paisa and closed at Rs185.51 against the last working day’s trading of Rs185.88, the State Bank of Pakistan reported.
The Japanese Yen closed at Rs1.43, whereas a decrease of 1.35 rupees was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs216.13 as compared to its last closing of Rs217.48.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal decreased by 03 paisa each to close at Rs42.43 and Rs41.55 respectively.
