PPP has right to field candidate for opposition leader in Senate: Murtaza

Murtaza Wahab said that the PPP is the largest opposition party in the Senate.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Spokesperson of Sindh government and Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Law and Environment Barrister Murtaza Wahab on Sunday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has a right to field candidate for opposition leader in Senate, Dunya News reported.
Talking to media persons during his visit to Bagh Ibne Qasim, Murtaza Wahab said that the PPP is the largest opposition party in the Senate due to which his party has the right to field a candidate for opposition leader slot in the upper house of the parliament.
Murtaza Wahab went on to say that the opposition leader in the National Assembly belongs to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) because it is the largest opposition Party in the lower house of the parliament.
He further said the time has proved that the strategy of PPP was correct and added that from Senate elections to the by-elections, the Pakistan Democratic Movement has won due to PPP strategy.
Replying to a question, Murtaza Wahab said that he did not understand that PML-N talks about resignations on one hand and on the other hand it has nominated a candidate for NA-249 by-election.
