Pakistan Coast Guards recover drugs, smuggled items worth Rs70 million
KARACHI (Dunya News) - Pakistan Coast Guards recovered drugs, smuggled Betel nuts and other items during various operations worth Rs 70 million.
According to details, Pakistan Coast Guards conducted various operations during the crackdown against smuggling and seized drugs and other items worth Rs. 70 million.
On the other hand 9 and a half kilograms of cannabis was recovered from the bag of a passenger in a passenger coach at Naka Khari check post and the accused was arrested.
Meanwhile, during search of vehicles at Naka Khari check post, 3,500 kilograms of leather and foreign cloth were recovered and the accused was arrested.
During mobile patrol, 6800 liters of Iranian diesel was also recovered from the truck and 2 persons were arrested while 14,000 liters of Iranian diesel was recovered from a truck and 2 accused were arrested.
Illegally hidden 64,200 liters of Iranian diesel was recovered from the dam area. During a patrol in Shadi Kaur in Pasni 17,000 liters Iranian diesel was recovered hidden in a tanker and 25,000 liters Iranian diesel was recovered hidden under ground.
During the checking of trucks 16500 liters of Iranian diesel was recovered from the Super Highway in Karachi and 3 persons were arrested.
According to Coast Guard officials, 13 people were arrested during the operation, including drugs, Betel Nuts and other items including 143,500 liters of Iranian diesel and six trucks were seized.
According to Coast Guard officials, four migrants were arrested from Pak-Iran border near Gwadar.
