Only 34 health workers vaccinated in Islamabad so far

41,994 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Coronavirus vaccination drive has failed to pick up pace in the country as administration of federal capital managed to immunize only 34 health workers.
Only four frontline workers were vaccinated in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) on first day. Sources has blamed lack of coordination between district health department, NADRA and administration of hospitals for slow pace of the drive.
On the other hand, Pakistan has passed grim milestone of 12,000 coronavirus deaths.
Till now 251,047 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Sindh, 160,935 in Punjab 68,531 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 41,994 in Islamabad, 18,869 in Balochistan, 9,219 in Azad Kashmir and 4,916 in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Furthermore 4,900 individuals have lost their lives to the epidemic in Punjab 4,119 in Sindh, 1,957 in KP, 480 in Islamabad, 272 in Azad Kashmir, 196 in Balochistan, and 102 in GB.
