OGRA approves increase in gas prices, summary sent to govt

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Consumers in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad are set to receive more expensive gas as OGRA has approved to increase the price of Sui-Northern gas by Rs 250 per MMBtu.

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has approved this increase in gas prices over financial year 2018-19. OGRA has forwarded its decision to the federal government.

After the increase, the new average price will be fixed at Rs 881.40 per MMBtu while the previous average price of gas was Rs 631.41 per MMBtu.

OGRA has also sent its decision to increase gas prices for the consumers in Sindh and Balochistan to the government.
