Karachi: Police forms six-member committee to investigate murder of Zain Effandi

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Karachi police have formed a six-member committee to investigate the murder of Zain Ali Effandi, grandson of Hassan Ali Effandi, founder of Sindh Madressatul Islam, who was killed for resisting during a robbery in Karachi.

Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon reached the residence of the slain Zain Effandi and met his family.

Talking to media after the meeting, he said that the accused involved in the murder would be arrested soon, with the help of CCTV footage.

Police officials, on the other hand, have formed a six-member committee headed by SSP East to investigate the matter.

The committee comprises of SP Jamshed Farooq Bijarani, DSP Darakhshan, SHO Ferozabad, SHO Jamshed Town and SIO. The investigation committee will arrest the accused and submit a report to the Karachi Police Chief.

It may be recalled that Zain Effandi, grandson of Hassan Ali Effandi, founder of Sindh Madressatul Islam, was allegedly killed during the robbery previous day.
