Cargo ship docked at Karachi port catches fire

Fire brigade and KPT rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – A cargo ship, docked at berth No 11 at Karachi Port, caught fire on Monday when labourers were off-loading wheat, Dunya News reported.
The ship loaded with imported wheat had anchored at the Karachi port on Sunday. All the laborers were been evacuated from the cargo ship due the intensity of the fire.
Fire brigade and Karachi Port Trust (KPT) rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
According to KPT, the fire broke out in the machine section on the ship which was brought under control immediately. KPT said that port operations were not affected due to blaze while orders have been issued to investigate the accident.
