NEPRA approves Rs1.11 per unit hike in power tariff

The decision would not be applicable on K-Electric consumers

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) on Monday approved Rs1.11 per unit increase in power tariff under the fuel adjustment mechanism for the month of September.

According to the authority, the consumers would pay the extra amount in bills of December. However, the decision would not be applicable on K-Electric consumers.

It further said that during the period, the production cost of electricity was Rs3.95 per unit while the reference cost of electricity in September was Rs2.84 per unit.
