CM Sindh briefed on preliminary works of Malir Expressway

Murad Ali Shah reviewed the preliminary works of Malir Expressway in Karachi on Thursday

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah reviewed the preliminary work of Malir Expressway at Korangi Road in Karachi on Thursday, Dunya News reported.

Murad Ali Shah was briefed on Malir Expressway project. The six-lane Malir Expressway which is 39.40 km long project is being constructed on the left bank of Malir River at a cost of Rs27 billion.

Speaking on the occasion, Murad Ali Shah criticized the federal government and said that we had to resort to public-private partnership for the project due to financial difficulties. The Chief Minister said that expectations from the federal government were low.

Murad Ali Shah said that KCR is a viable project to solve transport problems in Karachi but the federal government is focusing on ML-1 instead of local train tracks.

The Sindh chief minister further said that he would not hesitate in resigning if his party leadership asked him to do so.
