Karachi trade unions give 72-hr ultimatum to govt over coronavirus restrictions
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Karachi trading unions have refused to accept the coronavirus-related restrictions imposed by the government, giving a 72-hour ultimatum to the government to lift its orders.
The city’s merchants say that business timings laid out by the government are unacceptable. They have demanded that the working hours for shops be changed to 10 am - 8 pm and if their demand is not met, their future course of action will be harsh.
They said that in the rest of the country, there are directions to close business centers at 10 pm but the Sindh government has made the unjust order of shutting down by 6pm.
