KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) from Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh has on Monday said that the people of Gilgit-Baltistan have rejected former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s narrative.
Haleem Adil Sheikh held a press conference at Insaf House in Karachi and said PTI’s competition in GB elections was with independent candidates as Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice-president Maryam Nawaz and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had gone on a vacation in Gilgit-Baltistan.
The PTI leader said people were scared when Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said he will turn Gilgit-Baltistan into Sindh after winning the polls and lost the elections due to his statement. He said the people of GB listened to all but voted wisely keeping in mind their future as Gilgit-Baltistan is being given the status of a province.
Haleem Adil Sheikh added that PTI stopped holding public gatherings over the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) directions and the circus of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) should also be closed now. He said it is necessary to follow the NCOC decisions.
