Sindh makes wearing masks mandatory at public places to fight COVID-19

CM Sindh said that strict action would be taken against those who violate the coronavirus SOPs.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Sindh Health Department through a notification on Friday declared wearing a face mask at public places a mandatory act for every citizen due to spike in COVID-19 cases, Dunya News reported.

People are also advised to avoid public gatherings and social gathering and adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs). Owners and concerned managers will be liable in case of violation of SOPs in business and industrial premises and public and private offices.

The notification also stated that 50 per cent staff of all public and private offices will be asked to work from home.

Meanwhile, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah said that strict action would be taken against those who violate the coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs).
