My statement regarding ANP presented out of context: Ijaz Shah

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Interior Brigadier (Retd) Ijaz Ahmed Shah has said that my statement regarding ANP was misunderstood, if my statement had been understood in the true sense, such a reaction would not have occurred.

In Dunya News program ‘On the Front’ answering an important question, Ijaz Shah said that my statement about the opposition was presented out of context.

Federal Minister said that Awami National Party (ANP) had made many sacrifices in the war against terrorism which has always been acknowledged by all.

Ijaz Shah said terrorists martyred Bashir Bilour and Iftikhar Hussain s son. The sacrifice of the ANP was acknowledged at every level. He said that the whole country is still united to fight terrorism.

While talking about Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), he said PML-Q is an important ally, it will remain with the government, and misunderstandings will be removed soon.

Minister said that he has heard the statements of PML-Q Secretary General Tariq Bashir Cheema, all the misunderstandings will be removed in the next few days. Allies  objections are the beauty of the democracy, he added.

Talking about the rallies of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), he said that there was no problem from rallies in the country, but political leaders should only take care of the coronavirus.

While talking about the steps taken by the government for the repatriation of the PML-N leader, he said that Nawaz Sharif went to UK on a visit visa to seek medical treatment.

"We do not have a treaty with Britain, but we have written a letter to the British government," he said. The Prime Minister has said that if he had to go himself to UK for Nawaz Sharif s return, he would go.
