KP Assembly passes resolution against Nawaz Sharif's Gujranwala speech

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) - The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly has passed a resolution against the speech of former Prime Minister leader of PML-N Mian Nawaz Sharif.

According to details, the resolution was passed in today’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session, chaired by Speaker Mushtaq Ghani. The resolution condemned the Nawaz Sharif’s speech at the Gujranwala rally of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).

Rabia Basri, a female member of PTI, moved the resolution against Nawaz Sharif’s speech, condemning the speech and saying that his allegations were an attempt to harm the country and its institutions. The resolution said that speeches against institutions should be banned.

Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Akram Durrani said that Rs 2.5 million was spent on the treatment of a single coronavirus patient, the government should take the house into confidence on expenses made to control the virus as well as smart lockdown.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly session was adjourned till 2 pm on Monday.
