Dr Yasmin Rashid visited Special Monitoring Room set up at DC Office Lahore today
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Punjab government has appointed provincial Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid as price control incharge in Lahore. The Provincial Minister visited the Special Monitoring Room set up at DC Office Lahore and reviewed the situation.
According to details, this appointment has been made in a bid to control rising inflation. In this regard, a special monitoring room on inflation complaints has also been set up at DC Office Lahore.
125 cameras have been installed at 31 sahulat bazars for immediate redressal of grievances and markets will be monitored from the monitoring room.
Dr Yasmin Rashid visited the monitoring room and reviewed the arrangements on Thursday. The Punjab Health Minister said that the 31 sahulat bazars have been set up for the convenience of the citizens.
51 magistrates are conducting regular monitoring across the city and the supply of flour bags at low cost is being made possible, she said.
The Punjab Health Minister said that notices and fines have been issued to 24 flour mills, citizens should buy flour and sugar from sahulat bazars.
Deputy Commissioner Mudassar Riaz Malik said that in four days, fines of Rs 1.5 million were imposed and in 21 days, fines of Rs 3.5 million were imposed while 264 cases were registered.
