Delay in Matriculation result announcement adds to students' woes
LAHORE (Dunya News) - The Punjab government has failed to announce the annual matriculation result on the prescribed date, adding to students worries at a critical time in their academic year. Provincial minister Raja Humayun Yasir said Friday that the result would be announced on September 19 instead.
The Minister for Higher Education had previously announced that the matriculation result would be announced on September 18, but now, all boards in Punjab will announce the result at 5pm on September 19.
According to sources, the result announcement was made conditional on the release of the Punjab Cabinet meeting minutes. For the announcement of the results, the minutes of the Cabinet meeting had to be released even though the results were already compiled in the first week of September.
The higher education department said the results would be announced the day after the meeting minutes get released.
