Ch Shujaat calls for holding LB polls on party basis

He asked all political parties to create such a tradition that polls are held in transparent manner.

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) president Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain on Friday said that local bodies elections should be held on party basis.

He stated this during a meeting with PML-Q leaders including Kamil Ali Agha, Ch Shafay Hussain, Muslim League Sindh leader Tariq Hassan and others at his residence in Lahore.

Ch Shujaat said that PML-Q will fully participate in local bodies elections. He said that all political parties should put up their candidates in elections and create such a tradition that polls are held in a transparent manner.

He said that the Election Commission along with all political parties should formulate such a code of conduct so that nobody could individually influence the election and it should be such an election which the people also accept.
