Rain showers with strong winds expected in Punjab, Kashmir and GB on Friday
LAHORE (Dunya News) – The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong winds and thunder in areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan on Friday. Meanwhile, rain is expected in some areas of Southern Sindh. Elsewhere, the weather will remain hot and humid.
The Met Department has forecast rain with strong winds in Hazara, Malakand, Peshawar, Mardan, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Barkhan, Khuzdar, Zhob, Musa Khel, Kashmir and Islamabad from Friday night to Saturday morning. However, during the day, it will be partly cloudy and humid.
Heavy rain is also expected in some places during this period. But, coastal areas of Sindh and Makran will receive light rain while the weather will remain hot and humid in other parts of the country.
In the last 24 hours, Punjab, Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad received strong winds with showers with lightning. The most rainfall of 53 mm was recorded in Gujranwala.
Rain of 51mm was recorded in Lahore, Sialkot 41, Narowal 33, Islamabad 25, Kasur 14, Chakwal 11, Bhoon 09, Rawalpindi 10, Mangla 03, Gujarat 04, Sargodha 01, Kotli 30, Muzaffarabad 19, Garhi Dupatta 18, Bannu 12, Saidu Sharif and Chirat 10, and 9 mm rain was recorded in Balakot.
The maximum temperature recorded was 46 in Sibbi, 45 in Dadu and Nokandi and 44 degrees celsius in Dalbandin, Rohri and Nawabshah.
