QUETTA (Dunya News) - Pakistan Customs Quetta has foiled an attempt to smuggle Hashish from Afghanistan into the country. A ton of hashish worth more than Rs200 million was recovered from a truck. A case has been registered against the absconding accused.
According to Irfan Javed, Collector, Customs Enforcement and Compliance, Quetta, on a tip-off, formed a special team of customs personnel, which began special surveillance of trucks coming from Afghanistan.
He said that last night when the customs team signaled to stop a ten wheeler truck near Chaman border, the truck driver and the unidentified accused stopped the truck at some distance and took advantage of the darkness and fled.
