No one can bring in Presidential system, repeal 18th Amendment: Mushahid Ullah

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan has said that the country was divided during the presidential system. No one has the courage to bring in a presidential system or repeal the 18th Amendment.

Mushahid Ullah Khan has said that the present government has brought down the Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) but rumours are that I have 17 relatives in PIA. He challenged that he will resign if any of his relatives proved to be in PIA.

Addressing the Senate session, he said that such corruption was taking place that many people would be in jail after some time.

Senator alleged that the present government had brought down the PIA with just one statement, the national airline lost Rs 33 billion. He said, Railways and PIA are in deficit.

"I wonder how the government is working," he said. Other ministers, including Shibli Faraz, are lying. Agree to discuss every issue but there is a way and the government has to show good governance and maintain good relations with the opposition.

Suddenly, someone start talking about the presidential system. Under the rule of Sikandar Mirza, Ayub Khan, Yahya Khan and Zia-ul-Haq, there was a presidential system. The country was divided during the presidential system. No one has the courage to bring in a presidential system or repeal the 18th Amendment, he added.
