Political personalities express their grief and sorrow over sad demise of mother of Shafqat Mahmood
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The mother of Federal Minister for Education and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shafqat Mahmood passed away on Tuesday in Islamabad.
The federal minister took to the micro-blogging website Twitter to confirm the news of his mother’s death and prayed that Allah almighty bless her with high ranks in Jannah.
He said that his mother was like a rock for the family and would be deeply mourned.
Political personalities express their grief and sorrow over the sad demise of mother of Shafqat Mahmood. They also prayed for her high ranks in Jannah.
Fateha and special prayers were also offered in the National Assembly for the deceased.
President grieved
President Dr Arif Alvi expressed profound sorrow over the passing away of the mother of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood.
“The mother of my very dear friend Mr Shafqat Mehmood just passed away. May her soul rest in peace and may Allah provide strength to my friend and his family to bear this loss,” the president wrote in his tweet.
Earlier, Shafqat Mehmood in a tweet announced death of her mother, saying “she was like a rock for the family and would be deeply mourned. May Allah give her place in heaven”.
